When i was in Harrogate last week ( on another weeks holiday from work , had to fit loads left in before April ) and went in To the wonderful clothes shop toast.... and saw these shoes, love at first sight.. heart skipped.. purse opened on its own... had to have them.. even though i don't normally do heels .. my kind son said i walk like a transvestite with bunions in heels!!!
but they didn't have any in my size.... good job I thought because even in sale were rather eye watering expensive.. but couldn't forget them and eventually tracked down pair in Cheltenham branch of Toast.. so these beauty,s are mine now, going to wear them to my husbands birthday dinner at the end of this month .. keep tripping round house in them .. Lily Savage like.....
this is a picture of me .. yes don't be scared.. in my bargain scarlet new coat taken on Sat in the lovely town Of Knaresborough , was taken to a lovely boat house on the river for lunch, the son shone and had a lovely time, and glad to report since my last post have lost 10 lbs... and still trying to loose a bit more ,so hard though...love FOOD

the story behind this scarlet coat is while in m&s last week while in Newcastle on a shoppo trip with girlfriend ,I spotted this coat.. ow er instant attraction.. but as i just had bought THOSE shoes was trying to be on best non spending behaviour , £89.00 with a black scarf as a set ..walking away from the coat an assistant( a very nice assistant) came up to me and said do you like the coat and what size are you..? 12 i said, she vanished and came back with the coat.... a returned try ed on coat... reduced......... to .....£12.00......fate, we were meant to be together... my friend said ,

Oh wow, those shoes are fantastic, exactly whatI would go for. I also love red and had a gorgeous red raincoat from Hobbs as my birthday pressie last year. I also love green and Mr C has just treated me to a combined valentine and early birthday pressie of a lovely Per Una green linen coat.

Double snap!!! I got red tulips today and I too have lost 10lbs!!! Love the felt brooch just right for the lapel of the coat, it suits you, Lucey xx
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the shoes, but alas the heels too tall for my bad feet. What a fantastic bargain, you look great in it. I do love red too. Well done on the weight loss. Denise x
ReplyDeleteAmazing luck with the coat - it's great when that happens! I've got a purple cord Per Una coat from about 2 yrs ago - they wear really well. Love the brooch!
ReplyDeleteFirstly..congratulations on losing 10lbs!
ReplyDeleteWish I could wear such gorgeous shoes, but alas, not with the state of my feet! I'm a red girl too...not only in choice of clothes but in the house too.Hope you had a lovely Valentines Day! :0)
Gorgeous shoes and what a bargain coat. It really suits you too! x
ReplyDeleteI too love the colour red but always seem dress in black, I know I've always wanted to be an undertaker but the black obsession does get a little out of hand (don't know what this says about my personality)!! I look like a stilt walker if I wear heels, but those shoes are gorgeous, and the coat was such a bargain, love M&S.

I know what you mean about walking in heels....I have worn flat shoes for years so when I do put on a pair of 2 inch heels for a very rare posh occasion, I tip forward and go off balance!
ReplyDeleteGreat colour coat....really suits you and a bargain too.... That's my girl!
As for the shoes....keep practising, they are fab....

Those shoes are gorgeous I would have hated it if you hadn't bought them and as for the coat that was fate indeed. How did you lose 10lbs??? I have joined WW as I have to get my weight down knowing I am 'mortally obese'!!! Have lost 6lbs to date and weigh in is tomorrow night AAAARRRGGGHHHH. It will be worth it to look like you do in that red coat!!
ReplyDeleteI love red and was determined tpo have a red leather sofa when we moved 3 years and ebay came up with a wonderful one! Havent got any vintage and retro fairs booked yet as Alan is still suffering from a very bad chest and is in his 3rd week off work, he has been really poorly and just oculdnt have coped but in the meantime we are sorting and getting ready for one perhaps in March.
I've been strangely draw to red the last few weeks so I really enjoyed looking at your new clothes and shoes! I think it might be to do with warmth after all the cold we've had, I'm actually waiting for my watercolour red spots to dry as I write this! xx
